Antakshari, a traditional Indian song contest, is being offered as a speech applications App Store product by OnMobile Developer Network. OnMobile, which is an Indian white-labeled VAS company, says Antakshari is the first of its kind multi-lingual speech recognition product to be offered on its Speech App Store.

Mobile Antakshari has been developed by Hexolabs, a mobile VAS company, incubated by IIT Kanpur.

“OnMobile Developer Network (ODN)” aims to promote speech-based MVAS solutions. The Network promises to make it easy for developers to build multi-lingual speech applications using a SDK. Applications developed using this SDK run on OnMobile’s platform, Ozone.

The ODN also serves as a “Speech App store.” The launch of Hexolab’s Antakshari across Idea Cellular’s pan-India network is a part of ODN’s market development initiatives.

Antakshari is available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam languages.

Idea mobile users in India can dial 55855 and access this service.
