Social Networking in your Mails
Do you use a dumb mail box or one that is a little socially conscious? An e-mail management solution provider with the name Xobni suggests you use a mail box, which has some natural smartness.

The California-based company says its socially aware plug-in that helps people manage their inbox for Microsoft Outlook mail software is now available for public use. The solution, according to the company, organizes inbox messages depending on users’ relationships with the senders. With this feature, the company believes the inbox will be “socially aware”, and people will save time while searching for relevant mails.

While the Xobni tool will stay as a sidebar in Outlook, the company claims its proprietary technology analyzes e-mail in the same way your brain naturally understands communication. The data provided by Xobni can be used to know more about your contacts – how you’ve interacted with them, how they’ve networked with each other, and what information has been exchanged among a particular community in your contact list. This data reveals the social architecture for an inbox.

Xobni’s idea follows the principles of social networking.
