NetDragon Websoft, a leading games company in China, says The Warlords, English version of Tou Ming Zhuang Online, has entered its open beta testing. The Warlords is a 2.5 D Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG) jointly created by NetDragon and China Film Group.
The game, according to NetDragon, is based on the same story as the film titled The Warlords. It exhibits traditional Chinese martial arts through complicated stories set in the late Qing Dynasty.
“We are excited to release The Warlords for foreign audiences, as this effort is a continuation of our strategy to expand market share abroad by cultivating our own research and development capability and proprietary intellectual property,” says Liu Luyuan, executive director and CEO of NetDragon.
NetDragon’s game portfolio comprises a range of MMORPGs Its current offerings include the games Way of the Five, Eudemons Online, Conquer Online, Zero Online, Tou Ming Zhuang Online, and Heroes of Might and Magic Online.
Some titles are also available in foreign languages, including English, French, and Spanish. The company is currently developing four games: Tian Yuan, Disney Fantasy Online, Dungeon Keeper Online, and CJ7 Online, which are expected to be launched from this year.
The company has joined hands with The Walt Disney Company’s Interactive Media Group for its MMORPG “Disney Fantasy Online.”
