Social gaming platforms like Xbox LIVE are increasingly being leveraged by media and entertainment companies to promote their offerings. For example, Activision Publishing says that the Guitar Hero Metallica game demo will be available for free download on Xbox Live Marketplace.
Also, Square Enix, a publisher of interactive entertainment products, recently announced that the tower defence simulation game Crystal Defenders previously released for the iPod and iPhone 3G/iPod touch, is now available worldwide for download via Xbox Live Arcade.
In addition to HIP HOP 360, Xbox LIVE is also the source for other Gen2Media on-demand programs, including Scribble Jam and Angie Martinez: Interviews with Hip Hop, featuring urban artists discussing their lives, inspirations and latest controversies with the popular HOT 97 radio host.
