Social Networking on Mobiles
Friendster is now Mobile
Social networks are trying to transform. And mobile space is clearly a virgin area for them to rope in more users. That’s what Asia’s leading social network Friendster also thinks, as it has opened a mobile site today to enable users to stay in touch with others even when they’re on the move. While the site is available at m.friendster.com for any web-enabled mobile device, it’s the first in a suite of company’s forthcoming mobile offerings that it calls Friendster Mobile.
Here’s what you can do with this new offer. Using m.friendster.com, users can retrieve updates on their friends’ activities, check messages, review friend requests, browse photos, search for users by name or email, and savor other usual features that networking sites offer.
Friendster plans to offer its site in multiple languages. Indonesian will be the first additional language.
