Apple iMac Gathers Speed
Today, Apple has updated its all-in-one iMac product range with the Intel Core 2 Duo processors. The 24-inch iMac now offers a 3.06 GHz Intel processor and the NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GS graphics as options, targeting general consumers and professionals who need faster computing performance. Prices start at $1,199.

Every Mac in the Apple product line, the company says, features iLife ‘08, which is Apple’s suite of digital lifestyle applications. A new version of iPhoto and iMovie are integrated with the new Mac Web Gallery for online photo and video sharing. Leopard operating system is also part of the deal among a host of other pre-existing Mac ingredients.

The company says that iMac comes with recyclable and durable materials including scratch-resistant glass and professional-grade aluminum. And the product is designed for efficient power usage. According to Apple, customers who purchase any qualifying Apple computer can recycle their old PC or Mac for free via the Apple Recycling Program.
