Medical Info on Phone
My Phone, My Nurse
Wireless network operator Verizon has started offering The Pill Phone with a Get It Now application to help its U.S. customers get drug information and dosing reminders – of course, only those customers who need such medical support. The company is providing this service in association with VOCEL, a mobile application publisher.
Using the Pill Lookup feature, according to the company, consumers will have access to information on over 1,800 medications and prescription drugs that are commonly prescribed by physicians. The information will also include indications, dosing, side effects, drug interactions, photos of medications, among other details.
And customers won’t forget to take their medicine, as The Pill Phone’s Medication Reminder feature will remind them to take their doses at the right time. Something like alarm feature available in most phones, I suppose.
The Pill Phone is available for a $3.99 monthly subscription on Get It Now-enabled phones, including the Chocolate and enV by LG, LG VX9400, MOTORAZR, Samsung Alias, and a few others.
